Iconic NC-Based Showmars Opens Third Restaurant in S.C., Creating 20+ New Jobs
The wait is over! The Showmars Hospitality Group has opened its newest Midlands location in Lexington, S.C. The nearly 2,400 square foot restaurant is located in a premier shopping center, just off busy Sunset Boulevard. The restaurant’s opening resulted in the creation of more than 20 new jobs for the area.

“We are thrilled to continue our expansion into South Carolina, especially with this new location in Lexington,” said Dean Peroulas, Franchise Owner. “We are so excited to share our ‘part Greek, part Southern, all Carolina’ fast-casual concept, as well as establish ourselves as a partner to the community.”

Showmars’ has been serving the Carolinas with fresh, made-to-order Greek and Southern staples since 1982 when the founder, George Couchell, opened the doors of his first Charlotte location 38 years ago. Showmars Lexington Kitchen offers menu items such as Soups & Salads, Pita Sandwiches, the World-Famous Fish Sandwich and Carolina Original Pita Burgers™, Southern or Greek Entrées, Baklava Cheesecake and more.

The restaurant offers online ordering, dine-in, outdoor patio seating as well as take out, curbside pickup and contactless delivery. Showmars has also partnered with DoorDash to make its menu easily accessible to the entire community.

Showmars opened this new location adhering to recommended COVID-19 practices, social distancing guidelines and upholding the highest cleaning standards as set by the CDC and South Carolina’s Department of Health and Environmental Control. Showmars employees are required to wear masks, undergo COVID-19 screenings ahead of their shift and sanitize and disinfect the restaurant daily.
