Charlotte’s Hometown Restaurant Showmars Highlights Healthy Choices Menu 

The Healthy Choices Menu features nutritional information to help customers make informed decisions and orders.

 

Charlotte, N.C. (December 27, 2018) – With the New Year, comes new resolutions for a healthier lifestyle. For 2019, Showmars, Charlotte’s hometown restaurant, is helping its customers remain committed to making the best choices for their health by highlighting its Healthy Choices menu. The Greek and Southern, fast-casual restaurant’s menu will spotlight new, lighter items and feature calorie transparency to help customers make informed choices when they place an order. 

“We’re committed to providing our customers all the resources they need to make the best choices for their particular lifestyle,” said Dean Peroulas, Showmars’ CEO. “From smaller portions and transparent nutrition information to plant-based protein options and our classic Showmars favorites, we’re excited to be bringing something to the table for everyone.” 

Joining the restaurant’s lineup are new plant-based protein options from Beyond Meat®, including the Beyond Vegan Pita and The Beyond Burger®. This popular, new innovation in plant-based protein looks, cooks, and satisfies like beef, but is cholesterol and gluten free, and has less saturated and total fat than its beefier counterpart.

Showmars’ Mini Meals are also part of the Healthy Choices menu, not just providing items for the youngest customers, but also those who are looking for smaller portions. 

The restaurant’s signature Greek Salad is also prominently placed on the Healthy Choices menu. Fresh and made to order, customers can enjoy the bed of hand-blended greens, imported olives, and house-made dressings as a full meal or a lighter side to complement their order.

Rounding out the Healthy Choices menu is sustainably sourced Norwegian Grilled Salmon. Restaurant goers will also be able to pick and choose side items, from fruit and vegetables to salads, to create a satisfying meal that fits their dietary needs.
